The Story
The Original Round Top Antiques Fair is the show that started it all over 50 years ago.
Founded by the late Emma Lee Turney in 1968, “The Show” as known by Round Top veterans, has become one of the largest antique shows in the country. Over the years, one venue has turned into many venues, as several other markets have opened alongside ours.
During the triannual show, shoppers can drive down Highway 237 for miles and shop the fields, barns, and tents for antiques, art, decor and more.
Our show is comprised of two iconic venues - The Big Red Barn and The Continental Tent which offer the best in authentic antiques. Throughout the 30,000 square foot Big Red Barn and the nearby Continental Tent, you will find an irresistible array of beautifully displayed antiques ranging from early American country, textiles and art to Continental furniture and accessories.
With porters available to carry items to the car, shippers on site to handle large items, air-conditioned buildings, clean bathrooms, great food and free parking, shoppers can enjoy a memorable experience while finding exactly the right treasures to enhance their homes for years to come.
We are open for shopping three times a year - Spring, Fall and Winter.
Family Owned & Operated
As Native Houstonians and sixth generation Texans, the Layne Family had spent a great deal of time in the Round Top area.

In the fall of 2018, the Layne Family fulfilled a long-time family dream of owning and operating a business by purchasing one of their favorite Round Top antique venues, Blue Hills.

With backgrounds in commercial real estate, interior design, and the arts, Round Top has been a perfect fit for the family.

Since their first acquisition, The Layne Family has rebranded Blue Hills, added over 40,000 square feet of shopping space, and increased attendance by an impressive 39%, while the average Round Top venue grew by 16% (Source: Placer.ai)

Now for their next adventure, the Layne Family has acquired the show that started it all... The Original Round Top Antiques Fair.

The Layne Family plans to bring their same winning mix of compelling branding and hands-on, relational property management, all while continuing the vision of Susan Franks and Emma Lee Turney.
